Targeted towards its discerning viewers, this service offers a unique change from the routine passive news watching experience to an interactive real time news, controlled by them.

On Dish TV, the Zee News viewer can choose to go into its “active” feed and have the service unfold through a mosaic screen featuring 8 specialised news options of Live news, top stories, sports, entertainment, biz live, crime, special and weather. The viewer has the choice, irrespective of the time of switching on the channel, to choose from any of these 8 mosaic options and watch the live real time news about that genre. Once clicked on, the 8 mosaic options individually gets further more elaborate and runs additional stories with video/ audio and text elements running simultaneously.
Now the viewers need not wait for headlines to re-appear after a said interval, but “demand” to see it on Zee news active, as and when, at the press of a button from the dishtv remote. Likewise, for sports lovers or people seeking specific information at any point in time, the same is now only a click away on dishtv. Weather news is as elaborate as forecast for 110 cities in India and internationally. Surely, the Zee News experience for a viewer on dishtv will be vastly different from the one on the normal cable feed.
