| Hutch, cellular service provider operating in Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, and Orange in Mumbai, has entered into a content tie up that allows cellular users to watch video clips of the Miss Universe contest being held in Panama City on June 3, 2003, on their GPRS handsets. The Miss Universe video clips will be available to all Orange users in Mumbai. This was announced today by Harit Nagpal, vice-president, corporate marketing, Hutch.
Hutch users can access Miss Universe video clips all through the day on June 4 through HutchWorld on the Hutch GPRS phone. All one needs is a Sony Ericsson P800 or Nokia 3650 phone. Alternatively, consumers who have MMS-enabled GPRS phones will also be able to receive progressive stills of the Miss Universe contest on their phones.
Hutch users can also get contest-related news, information on the host city, history of the Miss Universe contest, and information on past Indian queens on their Hutch GPRS phones. Both postpaid and prepaid Hutch customers can avail of this facility by subscribing to the HutchWorld GPRS service for a fee of Rs 99 per month. |
