To take off from where Coke [V] Popstars left off last year, CHannel [V] and Indiatimes plans to unveil Coke [V] Popstars 2, a nationwide hunt for the best musical talent in India. This year, CHannel [V] takes the hunt to a new level, looking to create the country###SQ###s first ever mixed band, which will be chosen through auditions conducted across Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.

Conceptually, Popstars 2 will follow the same format as last year - a prominent jury comprising luminaries from the Indian music scene traversing the country to meet aspiring musicians, going through an exhaustive screening process, resulting in the creation of a band that fulfils all the requirements for success.

In the panel of judges this year are Palaash Sen, lead singer of band Euphoria, Indipop singer Mehnaaz, CHannel [V] VJ Purab. Announcing the launch of the Popstars 2 initiative, Peter Mukerjea, chief executive, STAR India, said, "It's another magical chapter in entertainment television.
