| In keeping with its strategy of being as spectacular as possible, Sahara TV is all set to launch a mega-serial titled Mission Fateh on March 28 at 9.30 pm. Drawing from real-life stories of Indian war heroes, the one-hour drama will include actual missions undertaken by soldiers of the Indian Army during wars and counter-insurgency operations from 1948 onwards.
Extensively shot in areas of Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan and Nagaland, Mission Fateh attempts to capture the lives of jawans and army officers in extreme weather conditions besides being authentic in its portrayal by using custom-made equipment, weapons and snow gear for soldiers, duly approved by the Indian Army Liaison Cell and other authorities pertaining to various regiments.
Produced by Sahara India Media Communication Ltd or SIMCL, the first episode will feature the story of Kargil war hero Captain Vikram Batra while the second episode to be telecast on April 4 will highlight the real-life story of Captain Amol Kalia. |
