| MTV has witnessed a series of reshuffling of portfolio at senior levels.
Abraham Thomas, Sony Entertainment Television###SQ###s senior vice-president, sales, is slated to move to MTV India as vice-president, ad sales, in mid-April. This follows the elevation of Sanjay Puthli to man the Viacom affiliate###SQ###s operations in the Asian region. Besides this, Natasha Malhotra has moved to MTV Networks Asia as vice-president, content. So far as the India operations are concerned, Alex Kuruvilla now has an additional designation - that of executive vice-president, MTV Networks Asia - to managing director for India, which he holds currently. Last but not the least, Cyrus Oshidar, who was earlier vice-president, creative, has been promoted to the position of general manager, creative and content.
These changes come at a time when the network has undertaken a whole new series of initiatives for MTV as well as the fledgling kids channel Nickelodeon. As things stand now, Thomas, who was earlier with Indian Express, will also have a role to play in the "development" of the two channels in the Asian region. |
