RED FM to focus on street kids

In an effort to highlight the plight of street children in Mumbai, Red FM, the India Today-promoted radio station will invite six under-privileged children along with a CRY (Child Relief and You) spokesperson to speak about their trials and tribulations, joys and sorrows on its weekly morning show Bombay Matters at 8.00 am on Saturday March 15, 2003.

Dedicated to the theme of 'Care for Mumbai's street children, the show aims to collect funds from its listeners to help CRY work towards the betterment of street kids. Listeners will be provided with phone numbers during the programme to facilitate CRY representatives to touch base with prospective donors. Alternatively, listeners interested in contributing money could send in an SMS to 2424.

RED FM on its part will be contributing an amount of Rs 1 lakh towards child welfare.
