Riding high on the cricket wave, 24-hour Hindi news channel Aaj Tak has introduced a new concept to motivate Indian Cricket Team - Jeeto India Jackpot. The idea is to create a fund by inviting the 22-million Aaj Tak viewers to contribute to the success of the Indian team. Aaj Tak is contributing Rs 1 crore to start the fund. If India wins the World Cup, the amount collected by the fund will be distributed equally among the 14 members of the winning team. In case it doesn't, the money collected will be returned to the donors.

"The viewers will not remain 'hollow' supporters of the Indian team but will be able to contribute towards team's success," says a company spokesperson. "This innovation is in tune with Aaj Tak's philosophy of involving the viewers every time."

G Krishnan, CEO, Aaj Tak, adds, "It is our endeavour to be the people's channel, and to air the sentiments of the people. With this Jackpot, we plan to reach out to our viewers and give them a chance to contribute to their beloved cricketers' success."
