| Newly appointed Information and Broadcasting Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad will inaugurate the FICCI Frames 2003 global convention in Mumbai on March 14. Prasad took over from Sushma Swaraj in a cabinet reshuffle on January 30 and besides addressing the gathering will also honour Asha Bhosle and Dev Anand as the 'Living Legends of the Indian Entertainment Industry'.
Chagan Bhujbal, Deputy Chief Minister, Maharashtra will also grace the occasion along with noted film producer and chairman of FICCI's Entertainment Committee, Yash Chopra who will commence proceedings with an opening address. Film star Rani Mukherjee will light the lamp during the inaugural session.
Frames, an abbreviation for films, radio, audio-visuals, music, events and shows will play host to over 50 international speakers who will articulate their point at 26 different structured sessions. Included will be an address by Arun Shourie, Union Minister for Telecommunication, Information & Technology and Disinvestment at the valedictory session on March 16. The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Sushilkumar Shinde will also speak on the occasion throwing light on the State Policy. |
