TV anchor and news presenter Nalini Singh has firmed up plans to launch a Nepalese-Hindi entertainment channel Nepal One under the banner of TV Live India. While other channels such as NDTV, STAR News and Aaj Tak English are awaiting permission to uplink from India, it is learnt Nepal One has got the relevant permission from the Govenrment of India. The channel would be beamed via Thaicom 3 satellite.

Targeting the Nepal cable homes and people of Nepalese origin in India, Nepal One would have a mix of music, entertainment and news and current affairs programming, including Nepalese and Hindi films to attract viewers in Nepal and across the border in India - especially in the north-eastern regions, which have a high density of Nepalese people residing there.
