Jagran Group’s advertising director Shailesh Gupta has been elected as a new member of the managing committee of Audit Bureau of Circulation (ABC) for the year 2004-05. Besides Gupta, K.N. Venkatram Reddy of Deccan Chronicle, Shobhana Bhartia of Hindustan Times, C H Kiran of Eenadu, Amitabha Dutta of Ananda Bazar Patrika and Vijay Darda of Lokmat have also joined the board as members.

At the 56th annual general meeting of ABC held recently, K.K. Shantkumar of Prajavani was elected as the new chairperson. While Kurus N Grant of ITC Ltd. has been elected as the deputy chairman of council of management and Prem Mehta of Lintas India is the new honorary Secretary. Sam Balsara of Madison Communications will continue as honorary treasurer from last year.
