Three months after quitting as president of ZEE TV, Sunil Khanna is back with the Subhash Chandra-promoted Essel Group as head of Dish TV, the DTH venture launched by the media moghul last year.

Khanna will be based in Delhi and will look into day-to-day operations of the venture, which has over 100 channels and a subscriber base of about 150,000.

The venture, incidentally, will complete a year this October and predictably Khanna has much groundwork to do to increase connectivity in rural areas where the service was first launched.
