Kids channel Hungama TV from the UTV conglomerate will begin telecast on September 26 at 10.00 am.

The channel will be part of the STAR bouquet and will be priced at Rs 6.

Targeted at the 4-14 age group, content on the channel will be sourced from 12 production houses including Balaji Telefilms, BAG Films and Creative Eye.

Hungama TV will be the first indigenous channel in a space crowded by foreign TV networks. The kids genre has seem a boom this year with POGO, Cartoon Network, Nick, Animax, Splash all vying for the viewer and advertiser's attention.
