STAR World is set to launch a new reality show The Apprentice on September 17 at 10.00 pm.

Nominated for four Emmy Awards this year, The Apprentice features sixteen ambitious candidates who arrive in New York to face the challenges of their lives with the hopes of winning a salary of $250,000 and a dream job as the president of Trump Inc Company.

The show has been a rage in the US rated as the one number TV programme among viewers in the age-group of 18-49.

An interesting aspect about the show is that viewers get to see on TV what they would ideally read in management books.

The show has been conceived in a such manner that every week the participants are given a business task to accomplish. The sixteen candidates are divided into two teams with each nominating a project manager for a week.

The winning team predictably surges ahead, while the losing team faces 'The Donald', that is, a member is fired.
