Abhijit Saxena, who is business head of ZEE MGM, English, Trendz and Smile TV, will now spearhead operations at ZEE TV. The announcement was made by Subhash Chandra, CMD, ZEE Telefilms Limited, who said, ###DQ###Abhijit has been with ZEE Telefilms for a long time and his performance so far has earned him the new position at ZEE TV. I believe that Abhijit will take the channel to greater heights and my good wishes are with him.###DQ###

With this appointment, the top-level management at ZEE TV is now in place, with Ashwini Yardi in charge of programming and Ashish Dabral in charge of marketing, apart from Saxena, who will be the overall business head of the channel.

The beefing up follows the exit of Sunil Khanna in June, who was the president of the channel for just about six months. Khanna###SQ###s exit was sudden to say the least, and his tenure was the shortest of all ZEE TV presidents.

Like Khanna, CMD Subhash Chandra has opted to promote old hands at the company to top positions at the flagship channel, and it is to be seen whether the trio of Saxena, Yardi and Dabral are able to weave their magic at ZEE TV as well.
