| The English entertainment channel from the ZEE Network will launch a new show Kung Fu on August 10 at 8.00 pm.
An Emmy-award winner, the show, which is set in the nineteenth century (1870s to be precise) dwells on the life of an American-Chinese Buddhist monk, who after avenging the death of his teacher, wanders about the Western American wilderness, fighting intolerance and injustice with his mastery of Kung Fu, a martial art form.
On the monk###SQ###s trail are bounty hunters, who are keen on capturing him to win the prize-money announced for his arrest.
Kung Fu is the second show in the action-adventure genre after Witchblade, which was launched around March-April this year. It comes at a time, when the channel is changing its skew from comedy to action drama. |
