| HBO and Contests2win.com (C2W) have partnered to lend an innovative perspective to a mega multi-media promotion. The partnership is for the promotion of the 'Big One' on HBO, "Rush Hour 2" to be premiered on the July 30, 2004, at 9 pm.
The promotion covers online, electronic mail shots as well as the new interactive medium of wireless promotions. To begin with, a teaser campaign has been launched. It is a weekly online warm up contest by which consumers get introduced to Rush Hour 2 and the main HBO on-air contest. To participate in the teaser campaign, consumers are required to log on to c2w.com, answer simple questions in the first two weeks and play an Advergame related to the movie in the third week.
The prizes for warm up contest include Taj Hotel vouchers and HBO collectibles. Consumers can even register for an email/SMS reminder, which will be sent to them on the day of the movie.
To participate in the main on-air contest, consumers have to watch out for the secret password flashed during the movie and answer via email or SMS. The grand prize is includes a holiday weekend in Hong Kong for a couple along with cash prizes.
The SMS contest is being designed and managed by Mobile2win, C2W's sister concern, which is a leading wireless solutions provider in India & China.
The promotion is also supported by activities in press, TV, outdoors and the HBO India website (www.hboasia.com) to increase the buzz around the channel's 'Big One'.
