ZEE to target women with afternoon band
 

Hindi general entertainment channel ZEE TV will relaunch the afternoon band as ZEE Woman on July 12. Stretching from 12.30 pm to 3.00 pm, the band targets the "new-age homemaker" comprising short capsules and features on beauty, interiors, cooking, good house-keeping, style and fashion.

According to Ashish Kaul, vice-president, corporate brand development, Essel Group, the band is an extension of the company's belief that the Indian woman is a contemporary individual with a strong personality. "It will address issues close to her heart and act as her personal advisor by giving her tips on an array of subjects useful to her in her daily life."

Though interesting and entertaining, says Kaul, ZEE Woman has been conceptualized as an informative band.
