NDTV is gearing up to air a special show, Jai Jawan II.

In the true traditions of Hollywood, where great entertainers and stars visit US troops in far-flung hostile regions risking their lives for their nation, Jai Jawan is a show where our country###SQ###s best-known film stars visit some of these unsung heroes of the Indian Army. Jai Jawan's first episode telecast last year had Bollywood star Aamir Khan travel to Dras and the Kargil sector where he interacted with the Jawans in their daily routine

This year Jai Jawan travels again to the frontlines. Film star Rani Mukherjee travels into the desert sands of Rajasthan to experience the routine of the jawans for a few days. Be it on the games field or in cooking Langar, Rani rolls up her sleeves to show that cinema heroines are not just about song, dance and acting routines but are made of far sterner stuff.
