| Executives at the Alpha Marathi channel from the ZEE Network have reason to cheer. The 2004 edition of the Alpha Gaurav Puraskar, an annual event celebrating the best of movies, serials and drama in the Marathi language, delivered good rating points, says a release from the network.
Telecast on February 14, 2004 at 7.30 pm, the show, according to the statement, garnered a TVR of 5.5 in Mumbai, while rest of Maharashtra delivered ratings of 5.3, among individual four years and above in C&S homes. In the crucial target group of females 15 years and above belonging to SEC ABC, the TVR was higher at 6, it states.
A minute-by-minute analysis of the three and half-hour-long programme reveals that Alpha Gaurav delivered a TVR of more than 9 in Mumbai as well as in the rest of Maharashtra. In towns with a population of more than 1 million, the event garnered a TVR of 10.6 respectively.
The channel share of Alpha Gaurav among regional channels in the Marathi language was 91 per cent in Mumbai and 86 per cent in the rest of Maharashtra. It stood second among shows telecast on February 14, with a market share of 20.5 per cent in Mumbai and 19.5 per cent in the rest of Maharashtra. |
