He may be remembered more for his Hutch work but he had mentioned once that this is just the beginning but sadly it is the end. Advertising and the world in general is poorer for his passing. He was a great team man and a natural leader even now my strongest memory of him, when i would walk asking his opinion on a brief, is an unlit cigarette in his hand and a devilish smile on his lips saying "maachis hai kya".

 I had met and interviewed Mahesh and Rajiv just a couple of months ago for our ad show on TIMES NOW. His easygoing manner and his self-effacing humour made a lasting impression on me. I have met him just a few times, but his death is something that has deeply affected me.
